This project was so interesting. There were so many different aspects to it, that all ended up tying together to the theme, forgiveness and revenge. We researched these topics; which was better, which lead to more consequences, and if one could lead to peace. We read the play called The Tempest, and the most interesting, and one of the main parts that represented forgiveness in the play, was when the male spirit, Ariel, told Prospero, that if he were human, and could have feeling, he would have forgiven the men who wronged Prospero. This was what I had planned to discuss at the socratic seminar we held in class yesterday. Another influential aspect about forgiveness was the article we read about a woman who forgave the doctor that experimented on her at the concentration camp she was being held at. We read many articles like this, showing true stories of forgiveness in society. We had to discuss the articles and do mini projects that day writing down key info about the situations that happened, and we had to show evidence of what we brought forth, to the papers we were all writing on. Much like the socratic seminar we had yesterday.
